Useful utilities - RichCopy, NotePad++, Filezilla Server and Client

I thought I would post about a some of the useful open source or free utilities that I use on a daily basis. I would love to hear about other useful free or open source applications that others use in the comments.

Based on RoboCopy, RichCopy is a gui based tool from Microsoft for copying data between two locations. It is multi-threaded and very easy to configure quick copy jobs for replicating data in another location. A great tool for setting up backups of photos, music or other files to be backed up onto external drives. You can read about more details and download the utility from the following TechNet article.

When I need to quickly look at code or another text based file I like to use NotePad++ as my default text editor. I was along time user of TextPad but find the open source NotePad++ program to be an excellent successor.

Filezilla offers both client and server, full featured FTP applications for a whole range of operating systems. With frequent updates and good documentation available on the net, they provide a nice set of tools for all things FTP.

What other good free or open source utilities do you use?
